What Are Blast Doors?

Blast doors are blast-resistant safety doors used to limit the transfer of blast waves into protected buildings, shelters, control rooms, energy structures or process areas.

The steel body is designed to provide reliable protection against blast effects in high temperatures, fires and demanding site conditions. The door leaf, frame, heavy-duty hinges, panic-bar set and locking mechanism should be evaluated as one complete system.

The door operates normally for personnel access or equipment entry.
