Ceiling Type HEPA Filter (Knife Edge Profile)
The ceiling type HEPA filter is a terminal filtration solution with a knife edge profile, developed to provide final-stage particle filtration in cleanroom ceiling systems, laminar flow units and fan filter units.
The construction consists of high-quality glass fibre filter media, an aluminium frame, hot-melt pleat separators and a two-component polyurethane sealing compound. It is available in H13 and H14 filter classes with different dimensions and pleat heights.

What Is a Ceiling Type HEPA Filter with Knife Edge Profile?
Ceiling type HEPA filters with a knife edge profile are compact final-stage filters used inside terminal filter housings or cleanroom ceiling modules. The special profile geometry of the filter frame supports correct centring and controlled sealing within a compatible terminal system.
The glass fibre filter media is arranged in a mini-pleat configuration, increasing the filtration surface area while supporting uniform air velocity distribution. Pleat height options of 50 mm and 75 mm provide different filtration areas and initial pressure-drop alternatives at the same nominal airflow.
Actual filter performance may vary depending on airflow, face velocity, terminal housing construction, profile compatibility, mounting pressure, sealing components, test method, measuring instrument, calibration status, filter loading, humidity, temperature and process conditions.

Custom dimensions can be evaluated according to terminal housing, fan filter unit and project requirements.
Initial differential pressure values may have a tolerance of ±10% depending on production and test conditions.
The face protection segment is not shown separately in the product codes of the 109 mm models. The final face protection configuration should be confirmed at the order stage.

Inspection, Maintenance and Replacement
The initial and operating differential pressure values of the filter should be monitored regularly.
The protection sheet, frame, filter media and gasket surface should be checked for damage or deformation.
The filter should be replaced when the final pressure drop is reached, when test results are unacceptable or when physical damage is detected.
After filter replacement, aerosol leak testing, airflow measurement and required cleanroom measurements should be repeated.
The nominal airflow rates and initial pressure drops stated in the tables are product values under standard test conditions. Actual operating performance may vary depending on air density, face velocity, terminal housing geometry, knife edge profile compatibility, mounting pressure, sealing components, aerosol type, test area, measuring instrument, calibration status, filter loading, humidity, temperature and process conditions. Final selection should be made according to project calculations and validation requirements.
