Counterflow Heat Exchanger CN
Counterflow heat exchanger CN operates on a simple and efficient principle. Inside the exchanger core, the air streams move in opposite directions along parallel aluminum plates. As a result, this design provides higher temperature efficiency than a crossflow heat exchanger core.
Two adjacent aluminum plates create separate channels for fresh air and exhaust air. Heat transfer occurs while the streams move partly in crossflow and partly in counterflow. Therefore, the fresh and exhaust air streams remain completely separated.
