Evaporative Humidifiers
Adiabatic Humidification and Cooling Solutions
Evaporative humidifiers are adiabatic humidification systems that add water to the air through the natural evaporation principle as airflow passes through a wet pad surface.
They can be used in air handling units, air ducts and industrial air-conditioning applications with a water tank, pump, pad cassette, cellulose or glass-fibre pad, droplet separator and control equipment.

Adiabatic Humidification
As air passes through the wet pad surface, water evaporates and provides natural humidification.
Humidification and Cooling
During evaporation, the air temperature decreases slightly while the humidity level rises.
Control Options
Available with on/off, staged or inverter-based proportional control options.
What Is an Evaporative Humidifier?
Evaporative humidifiers are among the water-based humidification systems. The system consists of a water tank, pump, spray line and humidification pads. Water in the tank is delivered to the pad surface by the pump, and the air passing through the pad absorbs the evaporated water.
This operating principle helps humidify the airflow through evaporation without liquid water directly mixing with the air stream. With suitable air velocity, a droplet separator and the right pad selection, efficient, hygienic and low-energy humidification can be achieved.
Technical Structure and System Components
Operating Principle of Evaporative Humidifiers
Wet Pad Surface
Water is sent to the pad surface by the pump, keeping the pad continuously wet.
Air Passage
As air passes through the wet pad, it gains humidity by evaporating water.
Cooling Effect
Because evaporation uses latent heat, the air temperature decreases slightly.
Droplet Control
A droplet separator can reduce water carryover at high air velocities.
Control and Optional Equipment
On/Off Control
The system can operate fully on or fully off using manual or hygrostat control.
Staged Control
Solenoid valves for each pad can be controlled to provide staged humidification according to demand.
Proportional Control
The pump can be proportionally controlled through an inverter according to the incoming signal for precise humidification.
UV Filter
It helps disinfect water used for humidification and can be preferred in hygienic applications.
Conductivity Sensor
It helps the system take in fresh water when the conductivity of the water in the tank increases.
Level Sensor
It supports control of the water inlet when the water level rises.
