G3-G4 Pro Model Pocket Filter
G3-G4 Pro Model Pocket Filter is a pocket-type air filter with synthetic fiber media and self-supporting pockets, designed to capture coarse particles in ventilation and HVAC systems.
Self-Supporting Pockets, High Dust-Holding Capacity and Durable Filter Construction
The self-supporting filter pockets help remain open during airflow. As a result, the filter surface can be used more evenly without requiring additional pocket separators.
Available in ISO Coarse 45% and ISO Coarse 55% options, the product can be used for prefiltration in air handling units, general ventilation systems, industrial facilities and power plants.

ISO Coarse 45–55%
Two separate efficiency options for different coarse-filtration requirements.
Self-Supporting Pockets
A structure that helps the filter pockets remain open and balanced under airflow.
20–25 mm Frame
Galvanized frame with flange options suitable for different filter housings.
3–8 Pocket Options
Different pocket quantities according to filter dimensions, airflow and available installation space.
What Is the G3-G4 Pro Model Pocket Filter?
The G3-G4 Pro Model Pocket Filter is a synthetic-fiber multi-pocket air filter designed to capture coarse dust and large airborne particles. Used as a prefilter in HVAC systems, it helps protect coils, fans, heat-recovery units and downstream filtration stages.
The filter pockets create a large effective filtration surface within a compact face area. Under suitable air velocity and correct sizing conditions, the large media area supports high dust-holding capacity and controlled initial pressure drop.
The self-supporting pocket construction of the Pro model helps the pockets maintain their shape under airflow. This design reduces the need for additional separators between the pockets.
Filtration Process
Air Enters the Filter
Air containing coarse particles is directed into the filter pockets mounted in the galvanized frame.
Pockets Open
The self-supporting pockets open with the airflow and allow effective use of the filter surface.
Particle Capture
Coarse dust is captured on the synthetic fibers and within the filter-media structure.
Filtered Air Outlet
After prefiltration, the air is transferred to the next filtration stage or HVAC equipment.
Structural Features
Self-Supporting Pockets
Help the pockets remain open during operation and support balanced use of the media surface.
No Additional Pocket Support Required
Reduces the need for separate pocket separators to maintain the shape of the pockets.
Synthetic Fiber Media
Filter material designed for coarse dust and large-particle filtration in the ISO Coarse class.
Galvanized Frame
A strong and durable support frame that allows the filter to be installed in the filter housing.

Filter Selection Criteria
Installation, Inspection and Filter Replacement
The filter should be installed in the housing with the airflow direction taken into account. No gaps that could allow air leakage should remain around the frame.
The filter pockets should be checked to ensure they are not folded, compressed together or touching another surface inside the AHU. Sufficient installation space must be available for the pockets to open freely.
Filter loading should preferably be monitored using a differential-pressure sensor or manometer. Replacement timing should be determined according to pressure drop, airflow, hygiene requirements, operating time and process conditions.
Washing disposable pocket filters, cleaning them with compressed air or preparing them for reuse by mechanical methods is not recommended.
Technical Application Note
The filtration area, nominal airflow and initial pressure-drop values shown in the tables are based on standard product dimensions and reference test conditions.
Actual pressure drop and filter service life may vary depending on face velocity, airflow, dust load, pocket depth, pocket quantity, airflow distribution, installation sealing, operating time and process conditions.
G3 and G4 are former classifications from the withdrawn EN 779 standard. Current product selection should be based on ISO Coarse efficiency values under ISO 16890.
The maximum operating temperature of 80°C is a reference value. Suitability of the filter media, frame and other components for the actual operating temperature should be technically verified before ordering.
Pocket Filter Selection and Custom-Size Solutions
Correct pocket-filter selection should be based on filter-housing dimensions, nominal airflow, ISO Coarse class, pocket depth, number of pockets, initial pressure drop and ambient dust load.
