Gas Tight Doors
A60 Fire-Rated, Airtight and Gas-Tight Door Systems
Gas Tight Doors are specialised safety doors used in critical areas where fire resistance, airtightness and gas-tight performance are required together.
A60 fire-rated gas tight doors are designed to control the passage of fire, smoke, gas and air in ships, offshore facilities, industrial plants, technical rooms, energy facilities and security-critical compartments. They can be customised for each project with a steel or stainless steel body, sealing gaskets, robust hardware assemblies and optional accessories.

A60 Fire Resistance
Can be considered for applications requiring fire resistance in Class A divisions.
Gas and Airtightness
Designed for critical compartments where gas, air, smoke and external-environment transfer must be controlled.
Steel / Stainless Steel Body
Can be manufactured with painted steel or stainless steel body options according to the application area.
What Is a Gas Tight Door?
A gas tight door is a door system manufactured with specialised gaskets, locking mechanisms, frame and leaf construction to control leakage caused by gas, air, smoke, odours or pressure differences between two areas. In applications requiring fire resistance, it can be used with an A60 fire-rated door construction.
These doors are preferred in marine and ship applications, offshore platforms, energy facilities, technical rooms, security compartments, areas with gas risk and industrial environments requiring airtight or gas-tight separation.
Operating Principle of Gas Tight Doors
Sealed Body Construction
The door frame and leaf are designed with a rigid body structure to reduce gas and air transfer.
Gasket Compression Effect
When the door closes, perimeter sealing gaskets compress to limit the passage of air and gas.
Fire Resistance
In an A60 design, the door helps delay the spread of flames and heat between compartments during a fire.
Safe Access
Safe use is provided with door closers, door stops, locks and hinge hardware.
