Glass Fiber Roll Filter
Glass Fiber Roll Filter is a high dust-holding-capacity filter media used to capture coarse dust, paint particles and aerosol loads in paint booths, industrial ventilation systems and HVAC equipment.
Depth Filtration for Paint Particles and Coarse Dust
The irregular and dense fiber structure of glass fibers helps capture particles throughout the depth of the filter rather than only on the surface. As a result, long service periods and high dust-storage capacity can be achieved in applications with high particle loads.
Supplied in roll form, the filter media can be cut according to the required dimensions and easily installed in existing filter frames, paint-booth filter cells or special support grids.

ISO Coarse Class
Offers different filtration levels for capturing coarse dust and paint particles.
75–100 mm Thickness
The deep filter structure supports high particle-storage capacity.
Up to 120°C
Options suitable for high operating temperatures can be supplied depending on the product type.
High Dust Holding
The glass-fiber structure helps retain paint and coarse particles within the filter media.
What Is a Glass Fiber Roll Filter?
A Glass Fiber Roll Filter is a coarse-filtration media manufactured by combining glass fibers of different diameters and densities into an irregular filter layer.
The open-fiber inlet surface allows larger particles to enter the media, while the denser outlet surface limits their passage through the filter. Consequently, progressive dust loading develops throughout the filter depth.
It can be used particularly in paint booths to capture airborne paint particles, protect exhaust ducts and reduce the quantity of particulate matter released to the environment.
How Does a Glass Fiber Roll Filter Work?
Contaminated Air Enters the Filter
Air containing paint particles, dust and coarse contaminants reaches the inlet surface of the filter media.
Particles Are Captured by the Fibers
Particles accumulate inside the media through impaction, interception and mechanical retention between the fibers.
Filtration Through the Depth
Particles are captured in different layers throughout the filter thickness rather than only on the surface.
Filter Media Is Replaced
When the pressure drop or paint loading reaches the specified limit, the filter media is replaced.

Technical Selection and Application Note
Glass Fiber Roll Filters are mainly used to capture coarse particles and paint particles. They are not sufficient by themselves for fine-particle, solvent-vapor or odor control.
In paint booths where solvents and volatile organic compounds must be controlled, activated carbon, chemical filtration or a suitable emission-control system may be required in addition to the glass-fiber filter.
Filter service life and performance depend on air velocity, paint consumption, spraying efficiency, filter surface area, installation sealing and process conditions.
