High Efficiency Rigid Filter (Plastic Frame)
High efficiency rigid filter combines a large glass-fiber filtration area with a lightweight and rigid polystyrene frame. It provides compact final-stage air filtration for HVAC equipment, air handling units and cleanroom ventilation systems. Available efficiency classes include E10, E11, E12, H13 and H14.
The polystyrene frame reduces overall weight and removes the need for a metal outer frame. Meanwhile, mini-pleated glass-fiber media and hot-melt separators create a large filtration surface within compact dimensions. A two-component polyurethane compound seals the filter pack to the frame.

Rigid Filter Construction with Plastic Frame
First, the mini-pleated glass-fiber media creates a large filtration area. Hot-melt separators maintain regular spacing between the pleats. As a result, airflow can spread more evenly across the filter surface.
The polystyrene frame offers low weight and good corrosion resistance. Therefore, installation and filter replacement become easier. In addition, the plastic body helps avoid surface oxidation associated with metal frames in humid environments.
The product group uses a 130 mm filter depth and a 25 mm flange. Several surface-protection and gasket options are available. Standard dimensions include 287 × 287 mm, 287 × 592 mm and 592 × 592 mm.

Filter Selection Criteria
Maintenance and Replacement
First, monitor differential pressure across the filter regularly. During periodic maintenance, inspect the plastic frame, filter media, surface protection and gasket. Also verify correct seating inside the filter housing.
The recommended final pressure drop is approximately twice the clean-filter value. However, it should not exceed 600 Pa. In addition, consider air quality, fan energy consumption and process conditions when planning replacement.
Do not wash the glass-fiber media or clean it with compressed air. Likewise, avoid mechanical impact on the filter pack. Do not expose the plastic frame to excessive temperature or incompatible chemicals.
Technical Application Note
The filtration area, nominal airflow and initial differential pressure shown in the table refer to standard product conditions. Actual performance can vary with installation, housing leakage, airflow, system pressure, filter face velocity, test conditions, instrument calibration, dust load, humidity, temperature, filter loading and airflow distribution. Therefore, define individual testing and certification requirements for H13 and H14 filters before ordering.
