Aluminum Separator HEPA Filter – Metal Frame
High temperature HEPA filter provides high-efficiency final air filtration in hygienic air handling units and sensitive HVAC systems. It combines deep-pleated glass-fiber media, aluminum separators and a durable metal frame. Therefore, it is suitable for demanding applications where elevated air temperatures must be considered.
Aluminum separators keep the glass-fiber pleats evenly spaced. As a result, the airflow channels remain open and stable. Frame options include galvanized steel, AISI 304 stainless steel and AISI 316 stainless steel. Depending on the selected components, configurations can be evaluated for 120°C or up to 260°C operation.

Metal-Frame Filter for High-Temperature Applications
First, the glass-fiber media forms a deep-pleated filter pack. Aluminum separators keep the individual pleats apart. This design helps maintain clear airflow channels and supports effective use of the available filter area.
Next, the filter pack is sealed to the metal frame. Depending on the temperature class, two-component polyurethane or silicone can be used. Likewise, the gasket can be selected from EPDM or silicone-based materials.
Finally, optional grounding can be specified for applications that require additional control of static electricity. The frame can also be supplied without a flange, with a single flange or with flanges on both sides.

Filter Selection Criteria
Maintenance and Replacement
First, measure differential pressure across the filter at regular intervals. Also inspect the frame, separators, media, gasket and sealing compound. Check for deformation, tears, hardening or other visible damage.
Next, compare the measured pressure with the clean-filter value. The recommended final pressure is about twice the initial value. However, it should not exceed 600 Pa. Airflow, process hygiene and energy use should also guide the replacement decision.
Finally, allow the filter to cool completely before maintenance after high-temperature operation. Do not clean glass-fiber media with compressed air, water or mechanical methods.
Technical Application Note
Use 120°C and 260°C ratings only with a compatible frame, gasket, sealing compound, surface protection and installation configuration. Actual filter performance also depends on continuous and peak temperature, exposure time, airflow, pressure, face velocity, leakage, dust load, humidity, thermal expansion and air distribution. Therefore, confirm all components and installation details before ordering, especially for 260°C applications.
