For applications that require ATEX or explosion-proof equipment, dust collection can be carried out in a controlled manner with safety components such as static-electricity control, HEPA filtration, a stainless-steel body, a coalescing filter and a liquid immersion tank.

What Is an Industrial Electric Vacuum Cleaner?

Industrial electric vacuum cleaners are professional vacuum systems used to safely collect dry dust, metal particles, conductive dust, combustible dust and process residues generated in production areas. Unlike standard cleaning equipment, their motor, filter, tank, hose, accessories and electrical safety components are selected according to industrial operating conditions.

Models used in explosion-proof or ATEX applications include conductive equipment that reduces the risk of electrostatic discharge, a stainless-steel tank structure, a HEPA filtration system and specialised solutions that support the safe collection of combustible and conductive dust.

How Industrial Electric Vacuum Cleaners Work

Dust Collection
Dust and particles enter the vacuum line through a conductive hose, suction tool or sanding and grinding connection.

Immersion / Pre-Separation
Metal dust is retained in a water bath; moisture and aerosol formation are controlled by the coalescing filter element.

HEPA Filtration
Fine particles pass through the HEPA filter to provide high-efficiency filtration.

Safe Emptying
The removable stainless-steel tank enables the controlled disposal of collected material.

In areas with metal dust, combustible dust or an explosive-atmosphere risk, industrial electric vacuum cleaners must not be selected as standard cleaning equipment. ATEX or explosion-proof suitability must be verified by evaluating the dust’s Kst, MIE, conductivity, humidity, particle size and process risk.
