Paint Booth HVAC Systems

Paint booth HVAC systems provide high-performance air-conditioning solutions for paint booths, which directly affect product quality in industrial production facilities.

During painting processes, ambient temperature, humidity, airflow and cleanliness directly determine paint adhesion, drying time and final product quality.

High-Performance HVAC Solutions

Paint booths are critical areas in industrial facilities because they directly influence product quality. During painting, temperature, humidity, airflow and cleanliness determine paint adhesion, drying time and final surface quality.

For this reason, paint booth HVAC systems must be planned with sound engineering design and optimised for process sensitivity.

HVAC Requirements in Paint Booths

HVAC in paint booths is required not only for thermal comfort, but also for production quality, occupational safety and environmental standards. Key requirements include:

Temperature Control

Temperature is generally kept stable between 20°C and 25°C for optimal paint-particle adhesion.

Humidity Control

A relative humidity range of 50–60% is generally considered ideal to help prevent surface bubbles, cracking and dullness.

Air Velocity and Airflow

A specified airflow rate is needed to distribute paint particles evenly and quickly remove harmful gases.

Clean Air and Filtration

Fresh air must be supplied, while dust and contaminants must be filtered to prevent surface defects.

Main Components of HVAC Systems

Paint booth HVAC systems generally consist of the following core modules:

Fresh-Air Intake Unit

100% fresh air is introduced and cleaned using G4 + F7 pre-filters and optional HEPA filters.

Heating and Cooling Coils

Heating and cooling are provided by hot water, electric heaters or DX coils according to HVAC requirements.

Humidification or Dehumidification Systems

Air humidity is adjusted to target ranges.

Fans and Ductwork

Provide homogeneous air distribution and maintain positive pressure in the booth.

Heat-Recovery Unit

Recovers energy from exhaust air to improve energy efficiency.

Automation System

Enables real-time monitoring and control of temperature, humidity and airflow values.
