Panel Filter (Plastic Frame)
Panel Filter (Plastic Frame) is a lightweight and compact air filter used to capture fine particles in HVAC systems, provide second- or final-stage filtration, and protect HEPA filters against excessive particulate loading.
The product combines glass-fiber filter media, hot-melt separators, a two-component polyurethane sealing compound and a plastic frame. Standard depths of 48 mm and 96 mm allow the filter to be adapted to different airflow rates and installation conditions.

What Is a Plastic Frame Panel Filter?
A plastic frame panel filter is a fine-filtration element made by placing densely pleated glass-fiber filter media inside a lightweight and compact plastic frame. Its large filtration surface helps provide high filtration capacity where installation space is limited.
It can be used in air handling units, packaged ventilation equipment, precision air-conditioning systems and multi-stage filtration arrangements. When installed upstream of a HEPA filter, it helps reduce the dust load reaching the final filtration stage.
Models with a depth of 48 mm are suitable for systems with limited installation space. In contrast, 96 mm models can be selected where a larger filtration area and higher nominal airflow are required.

Inspection and Maintenance
The pressure drop across the filter should be monitored regularly with a differential pressure indicator or transmitter. Replacement should not be determined by operating time alone. Pressure drop, airflow, dust loading, hygiene conditions and the physical condition of the filter should be evaluated together.
Unless the technical product documentation clearly states that the glass-fiber filter media is washable, it should not be cleaned with water or compressed air. Such procedures may damage the filter media, pleat geometry and perimeter sealing.
