Polyurethane FAN-COIL Filter
Polyurethane FAN-COIL Filter is a panel filter with washable polyurethane media. It is designed to capture coarse dust, fibers, lint and similar large particles from the return air of fan-coil units.
Washable Media, Galvanized Frame and Slim Panel Design
The polyurethane filter media is installed inside a galvanized frame and supported by expanded metal mesh on both sides. Therefore, the structure helps the filter maintain its shape under airflow.
According to ISO 16890, the product is evaluated in the ISO Coarse class. In addition, it can be manufactured in standard or custom dimensions for different fan-coil filter housings.

Washable Media
The polyurethane filter media can be cleaned using suitable maintenance procedures.
ISO Coarse 25%
It helps capture coarse particles from fan-coil return air.
Galvanized Frame
Provides a durable panel structure with double-sided expanded metal support.
Custom Manufacturing
Can be produced in dimensions suitable for different fan-coil filter housings.
What Is a Polyurethane FAN-COIL Filter?
The Polyurethane FAN-COIL Filter is a prefilter used to capture coarse particles carried with room air before they reach the coil and fan section of the fan-coil unit.
Open-cell polyurethane media allows airflow while helping retain coarse dust on the filter surface and within its porous structure. Moreover, its washable construction allows the filter to be reused after suitable maintenance and complete drying.
The galvanized frame and double-sided expanded metal mesh help keep the filter media fixed inside the panel. As a result, excessive deformation under airflow is reduced.
Operating Principle
Air Reaches the Filter
Return air passes through the filter surface due to the suction effect of the fan.
Particles Are Captured
Coarse dust, fibers and lint are retained within the porous polyurethane media.
Equipment Is Protected
Filtered air reaches the coil and helps limit internal contamination of the fan-coil unit.
Filter Is Cleaned
Finally, the dirty filter is washed using a suitable method, completely dried and reinstalled.

Technical Selection Note
Polyurethane FAN-COIL Filters are intended for coarse-particle filtration. They are not sufficient by themselves for applications requiring fine-particle filtration, high hygiene, gas filtration, odor control or chemical-vapor removal.
After washing, the filter should not be installed in the fan-coil unit until it is completely dry. A damp filter may contribute to odor, microbial growth and unwanted moisture accumulation inside the unit.
Actual pressure drop and maintenance intervals can vary according to filter dimensions, face velocity, room dust load, operating time, washing method and process conditions.
For further reference on general ventilation air-filter classification, see the official ISO 16890-1 standard page.
