Stainless Steel Access Shaft Door
Stainless Steel Inspection Door Solutions for Ventilation Systems, Air Handling Units and Technical Shafts
Stainless Steel Access Shaft Door is a service door used to provide maintenance, cleaning and intervention access in ventilation ducts, air handling units, technical shafts, service voids and areas requiring inspection.
With the stainless steel body option, it offers long-lasting use in hygienic, humid, corrosion-prone spaces or areas exposed to industrial environmental conditions. Depending on the application, it can be designed in standard, insulated, honeycomb-grille or linear-grille types.

Service and Intervention Access
Provides maintenance access in ventilation ducts, air handling units, shafts and technical sections.
Stainless Steel Body Option
Corrosion resistance can be increased with AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel manufacturing.
Standard or Insulated
A standard door, insulated door, honeycomb-grille or linear-grille type can be selected according to the application.
What Is a Stainless Steel Access Shaft Door?
A stainless steel access shaft door is a door system used to provide controlled access to areas containing technical installations. It can be installed in ventilation ducts, air handling units, mechanical shafts, suspended-ceiling service areas and locations requiring inspection.
While a standard inspection door is used for maintenance and intervention access, insulated types contain insulation on the inside of the door to help reduce heat and sound transfer. In honeycomb-grille and linear-grille types, the access door and air passage can be combined on the same surface.
Stainless Steel Access Shaft Door Operating Principle
Installation Opening
The door is installed in the service opening prepared on a duct, shaft, panel or suspended ceiling.
Opening / Closing
The door can be opened and closed quickly with a push latch or locking mechanism.
Service Access
Provides access to filters, dampers, valves, sensors, in-duct equipment or installations inside the shaft.
Closing Again
After maintenance, the door is fitted back into place to preserve the integrity of the surface.
Key Technical Features
Inspection, maintenance, cleaning and intervention access.
Ventilation systems, air handling units, technical shafts and service areas.
Standard, insulated, square honeycomb-grille and linear-grille types.
Push latch mechanism or special locked opening-closing system.
Stainless steel, electrostatic powder coating or special RAL colour options.
Can be installed with screws on duct, panel, shaft or suspended-ceiling surfaces.
Access Shaft Door Types
| Type | Description | Mechanism | Application Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| HKK-A | Standard inspection / access door | Push latch mechanism | Used in areas requiring general maintenance and service access. |
| HKK-B | Insulated inspection / access door | Special locking mechanism | Preferred for applications where reduction of heat or sound transfer is required. |
| HKPK | Square honeycomb grille inspection door | Push latch mechanism | Used where air passage and access are required on the same surface. |
| HLMK | Linear grille inspection door with 17° or 30° angled blades | Push latch mechanism | Used in projects requiring linear air passage and decorative surface continuity. |
