Electrode Steam Humidification for Air Ducts and Air Handling Units
Steam humidifiers are electrode steam-generation systems used to provide controlled humidification inside air ducts or air handling unit humidification sections.
The generated steam is supplied evenly into the airflow through a stainless-steel steam distribution diffuser. Intelligent humidity and capacity control provide automatic humidification.
Electrode Steam Generation
Water is heated by the current generated between electrodes, converted into steam and used for controlled humidification.
Uniform Steam Distribution
A stainless-steel steam distribution diffuser distributes steam uniformly inside the duct or air handling unit.
Automatic Control
Humidity control and remote monitoring can be performed with MODBUS, RS485 and analogue control options.
What Are Steam Humidifiers?
Steam humidifiers are humidification systems that convert water into steam through electrode heating and supply the resulting steam into the airflow through air ducts, air handling unit humidification sections or steam distribution components.
When the humidity sensor, control panel, water inlet, drain line, steam hose and distribution connections are complete, the system can provide automatic humidification. It can also be integrated with air handling units that do not have humidity-control capability.

Steam Humidifiers: Operating Principle
Steam Generation
When the electrodes contact water, current is created, the water heats up and evaporation takes place.
Level Monitoring
The sensor on the steam cylinder cover monitors water level and helps control the inlet valve.
Drain Control
When mineral concentration rises, a certain amount of water is discharged from the cylinder and replaced with fresh water.
Control Signals
0–10 V, 0–20 mA, 4–20 mA and On-Off control options can be applied.

Steam Distribution and Connection Components
Steam Distribution Diffuser
Made of stainless steel. It provides uniform steam distribution in the air duct or air handling unit humidification section.
Steam Distribution Hose
Made of special rubber resistant to temperatures up to 120°C. Use up to a maximum length of 3 metres and connection with the appropriate slope are recommended.
Condensate and Drain Line
The condensate drain hose is made of high-temperature-resistant plastic. The drain line helps remove water with increased mineral concentration from the cylinder.
