String Wound Filters
String wound filters are cartridge-type filter elements used in liquid filtration applications. They can be used for process liquids, drinking water, process water, cooling water, wastewater and chemical industry filtration.
With filtration ratings from 0.35 to 150 microns, different cartridge lengths, gasket materials and end-cap connection options, they can be selected to suit various filter housing configurations.

What Is a String Wound Filter?
String wound filters are cartridge filter elements used in liquid filtration processes. According to the product documentation, they are suitable for general liquid filtration, the chemical industry, process liquids, drinking water, process water, cooling water and wastewater filtration.
The filter media specified for string wound filter cartridges is polypropylene. In addition, ratings of 0.35, 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 50, 80, 100 and 150 μm allow the cartridges to be used at different filtration levels.
The cartridges can be selected according to the filter housing connection using DOE, 222 O’Ring, 222 O’Ring Speared, 226 O’Ring and 226 O’Ring Speared end-cap options.
