Synthetic Roll Filter
Synthetic Roll Filter is a synthetic-fiber prefilter media used in ventilation and air-conditioning systems to capture coarse particles, protect main filters and extend system maintenance intervals.
Practical, Low-Cost Filter Solution That Can Be Cut to the Required Size
Roll-form filter media can be used in air handling units, fan-coil units, ventilation equipment, intake panels and various industrial air-filtration applications. It can be cut according to the required dimensions and easily installed in existing filter cassettes or support frames.
Different thicknesses, basis weights, roll widths and filtration-performance options allow the product to be adapted to a wide range of applications, from comfort ventilation to industrial prefiltration.

ISO Coarse Class
Offers different efficiency options for capturing coarse dust, fibers, lint and large particles.
10–30 mm Thickness
Different media thicknesses can be selected according to filtration requirements and the existing filter frame.
1–2 Metre Width
Wide roll options can be supplied for different equipment and filter-cassette dimensions.
Easy Cutting and Installation
Can be cut to the application dimensions and installed in a filter frame, cassette or support grid.
What Is a Synthetic Roll Filter?
A Synthetic Roll Filter is a coarse-filtration media produced by combining synthetic fibers of different densities and thicknesses to create a homogeneous filter layer.
Large airborne particles are captured on the fiber structure while airflow is allowed to pass through the filter. Consequently, the particle load on downstream fine filters, pocket filters or compact filters can be reduced.
Thanks to its roll form, it can be used in non-standard filter-cassette dimensions and quickly replaced during maintenance after being cut to the required size.
How Does a Synthetic Roll Filter Work?
Contaminated Air Enters the Filter
Air containing dust, fibers and coarse particles reaches the inlet surface of the filter media.
Particles Are Captured by the Fibers
Large particles are retained on the surface of the synthetic fibers and within the depth of the media.
Airflow Continues
Filtered air passes to the next system stage with an appropriate initial pressure drop.
Contaminated Media Is Replaced
When the pressure drop reaches the specified final value, the filter media is replaced with new media.

Synthetic Roll Filter Selection Criteria
Installation and Maintenance Recommendations
Technical Selection and Application Note
Synthetic Roll Filters are primarily used for coarse prefiltration. They may not be sufficient as a single filtration stage in applications requiring fine-particle control, hygienic conditions or high indoor-air quality.
Filter replacement time should not be determined solely by visual contamination. Initial and final pressure-drop values should be monitored using a differential-pressure gauge or sensor.
Filter performance varies depending on air velocity, particle load, media thickness, basis weight, installation sealing and process conditions. Exact technical values should be verified using the product test report.
