Venturi Injection Systems
Inline Solutions for Chemical, Coagulant, Ozone and Gas-Water Mixing
Venturi injection systems provide inline chemical dosing and mixing for water supply, drainage, environmental protection and water treatment projects. Typical applications include coagulant dosing, ozone injection and gas-water mixing.
The pressure difference created by the water flow draws a liquid or gas additive into the pipeline. An inline static mixer then distributes the additive rapidly through the water, supporting balanced and energy-efficient mixing.
No External Motor Required
The injector uses the pressure and energy of the water flowing through the pipeline.
High Mixing Performance
With correct sizing and suitable process conditions, mixing performance may reach approximately 90–95%.
Optimised Chemical Use
Homogeneous mixing may help reduce chemical consumption by approximately 20–30%, depending on the application.
What Is a Venturi Injection System?
Venturi injectors and inline static mixers introduce chemicals or gases into pipelines in water treatment, drainage, environmental protection and process-water applications. The system can handle coagulants, flocculants, ozone and other compatible dosing solutions.
The Venturi section increases flow velocity and creates a pressure reduction at the suction port. This pressure difference draws the additive into the main water stream. Static mixing elements then divide, redirect and recombine the flow to improve distribution through the pipeline.
For an independent explanation of pressure-driven chemical injection, see the UF/IFAS technical guide to Venturi injectors.
How Venturi Injection Systems Work
Flow Inlet
Water or process liquid enters the Venturi and static-mixer assembly through the pipeline.
Chemical or Gas Injection
The pressure difference draws coagulant, flocculant, ozone or another compatible additive into the line.
Static Mixing
Flow division, cross-mixing and counter-rotating movement distribute the injected additive.
Homogeneous Outlet
The treated flow continues through the pipeline with the chemical or gas distributed through the water.
